About the role
The Scout Program Director will be responsible for leading a team of external founder scouts and building and running a curriculum to teach them the skills necessary to identify and nurture potential entrepreneurs. This role requires a strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, as well as experience in identifying and developing early-stage startups. The ideal candidate will have a background in venture building, venture capital, startup incubation or acceleration, or entrepreneurship education.

Responsibilities
- Identify and lead a team of external founder scouts in their efforts to identify and evaluate potential startup opportunities for Favcy VB.
- Develop a curriculum to teach external founder scouts best practices for identifying and nurturing early-stage startups.
- Collaborate with the internal team to share insights, coordinate efforts and build a pipeline of aspiring entrepreneurs.
- Scout and nurture Founders for Favcy VB and coordinate efforts with the validation team.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the startup ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, and accelerators/incubators.
- Evaluate the performance of external founder scouts and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Continuously monitor trends in the startup ecosystem and provide insights to the founder scout team.
- Help to develop and refine the scouting process, including identifying new sources of potential startups and improving the efficiency of the evaluation process.
- Represent the organization at startup events and other relevant industry gatherings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Significant experience in venture building, venture capital, startup incubation or acceleration, or entrepreneurship education.
- Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, including trends and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the startup ecosystem.
- Proven ability to lead a team and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate early-stage startups.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate business models and market opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to attend startup events and other industry gatherings.
