Scout to identify and connect us with startups seeking fundraising opportunities.

About the Role:
The Venture Scout will play a critical role in identifying promising startups that are seeking to raise funds and aligning them with our investment criteria. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for high-growth potential startups, a strong network within the startup ecosystem, and the ability to assess eligibility for our funding programs. Additionally, the Venture Scout will be incentivized based on the scale and success of the fundraising efforts they facilitate.

Location: Remote/ India-Based

Responsibilities:
● Identify Startups: Scout for startups across various industries that are looking to raise funds. Build relationships with startup founders, accelerators, incubators, and other ecosystem players to continuously discover new leads.
● Assess Eligibility: Screen potential leads to ensure they meet the investment criteria set by Favcy Capital. This includes evaluating business models, growth prospects, market potential, and financial needs.
● Matchmaking: Match startups with the appropriate funding options based on their needs (2 crore to 4 crore, or more than 5 crore).
● Engage and Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with startup founders and their teams to gain an understanding of their fundraising needs and offer guidance throughout the process.
● Fundraising Contribution: In cases where the venture scout plays a role in the fundraising process, actively participate in key activities such as preparing pitch materials, facilitating investor introductions, and assisting with negotiations.
● Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Favcy Capital team on the status of leads, including progress in assessments, matchmaking, and fundraising efforts.

Requirements:
● Proven experience in venture scouting, startup fundraising, or a related field.
● Strong network in the startup ecosystem, including founders, investors, and accelerators.
● Knowledge of the investment landscape and fundraising processes.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with startup teams and investors.
● A self-starter with a proactive approach to sourcing leads and closing deals.
● Experience or familiarity with financials, business models, and market analysis.

Compensation Structure:
● For Startups Raising Between 2 Crore to 4 Crore:
○ Retainer Fee: INR 1.5 Lakh per successful lead.
○ Incentive: 5% of the retainer amount (INR 7,500) for each successful lead.
○ Fundraising Contribution: 5% of the 4% success fee charged for any deals  the venture scout actively contributes to.
● For Startups Raising More Than 5 Crore:
○ Retainer Fee: INR 1 Lakh per successful lead.
○ Incentive: 10% of the retainer fee (INR 10,000) for each successful lead.
○ Fundraising Contribution: 10% of the 4% success fee charged for any deals
the venture scout actively contributes to.

Performance Expectations:
● Lead Generation: At least 4 to 5 startup leads per month that meet the fundraising criteria.
● Conversion Rate: A successful conversion rate of at least 30% from lead generation to active fundraising.
● Fundraising Support: Actively contribute to the fundraising process when required to maximize compensation and success.
